Our Heartful Response to COVID-19:

Relief Aid for People in Despair

We are in this together.

Actions we have taken.

We have canceled the rest of our programming for 2020 across our three campuses: San Francisco, Nairobi, and Kilifi to comply with Government regulations. We believe such measures permit us to adhere to the guidelines issued by the Federal and State government in the United States and by the Government of Kenya. We believe in our sacred duty to protect our members by following the best science.

As an employer, honoring our commitments to our employees, paid-contractors, and volunteers who receive a per diem is sacred. As such, we have extended salaries and payments for all employees until the end of June 2020. Except for remote contractors, program administrators in our Learning Enrichment & Acceleration Program (LEAP), Summer Leaders Summit (SLS), Ecclesia, and Spaces of Grace need not to work to earn their pay. They’re encouraged to stay at home to remain safe.

Our spirituality requires us to take care of our members and families in terms of crisis. As such, we have begun to disburse emergency funds to all of our members in most need. We are urging those who have more to share with their families and friends. In Kenya, members should expect such payments via MPESA. We will use their contact on record to disburse the cash. Our students and their families are encouraged to apply through our portal.

Underserved children and families are hurting around the world. Our Relief Aid for People in Despair (RAPID) will assist 300+ families served through our four program areas: Learning Enrichment and Acceleration Program, MLOVE (Formerly Summer Leaders’ Summit), Ecclesia, and Spaces of Grace. With your help, we aim to raise $92,000 needed to provide emergency financial assistance for our students and families and develop programs that guide them during and after COVID-19.
