Mwangi Mukami is an award-winning humanitarian, writer, and current Lead Pastor/CEO of MLIFE.
An expatriate from Kenya, Mwangi moved to the United States in 2009 after an illustrious public service career spanned a decade. He served as Chairperson of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Africa Foundation (2005-2009), founding youth president of the National Youth Parliament of Kenya (2004), and children's president of the Kenya Children's Cabinet (2003).
Mwangi is an alumnus of the University of California Berkeley's Goldman School of Public Policy, where he completed his Master of Public Affairs (MPA). He received his dual bachelor's degree in Political Science and International Relations, magna cum laude, from the San Francisco State University. In 2013, Mwangi received the President's Volunteer Service Award.
His other commendation includes the Georgia General Assembly's Senate Recognition Resolution, the Gandhi Peace Award, and the Morris Brown Medal of Peace.
